New Years in McCall, Idaho

For New Years, my boyfriend and I drove 10 hours through the night to join a friend and his family in McCall, Idaho. My high school friend Kerry came up to meet as well. Good crew! The drive there was dark, foggy, icy, and quite relaxing.

I love McCall, cute small town on a lake that I need to come back and dive into in the summertime. On this trip we spent an amazing bluebird day hiking for powder turns at Brundage Mountain. The reward was a sunny 360degree view and fresh turns on the way down. Perfect last day to 2012!

The next day we went to the Gold Fork hot springs to sweat it out for the new year. (#touchdowns! ugh.)

On the way back we left at sunrise so I was able to see the scenery and snap some well-lit pics. My fingers almost froze off from shooting out the window; temperatures reached a low of -3 degrees!

McCall, I love you and will be back soon! I just wish you weren’t so far away…
